Purchasing Work from AriaArt Stock

To purchase artwork or photography, visit the Gallery page on this site to see what we have available and follow the steps to send us an order for in-stock work.

Commissioning Custom Work

Step 1 – Pre-quote Meeting
Usually, we’ll start with an initial meeting to discuss the project you are working on and the amount of wall space you’re looking to cover with artwork. It is very helpful if you have the following information ready:

  • Specific dimensions of the artwork or photography (specify with or without frame)
  • Fabric swatches, pantone numbers or paint samples of the colours you wish the painting or photography to contain
  • You might like to forward several existing designs or artwork that you’d like us to use as reference or inspiration. You may find some ideas on our resources page.

Step 2 – AriaArt Quote & Sign-off
Once we’re agreed on all the details, a quote will be prepared and presented for your sign-off. This is your opportunity to review the specifications for the job before we order materials.

Once the sign-off is complete we require 50% of the total quote paid against time and material costs.

Step 3 – Creation of Artwork
At this stage we’ll place your commission with the appropriate artist. From the date of your commission to its delivery will be 4-6 weeks. For paintings, we will send you photos of the artwork at various stages of completion. For photo art we will send you contact sheets of examples we feel aligns best with your request for subject matter. This keeps you up-to-date with progress and allows you to request alterations if necessary.

Step 4 – Final Approval
Once the artwork is ready we will arrange a viewing. This may take place at the artist’s or photographer’s studio or the artwork may be brought to the designer’s office. If meeting is inconvenient the artist will either send an email with an image of the final work or upload an image to Google docs or an FTP site for a secure online viewing. If the work is satisfactory then the designer or person commissioning the work will be required to sign the quotation or send an email confirming acceptance of the final artwork*.

Once you’ve given your final approval (usually 3-4 weeks after the date of commission) paintings canvases will need a further week or two to dry sufficiently prior to delivery. This does not apply to photography unless special finishes are applied to the enlarged work. They will then be delivered to your chosen address ready to hang.

*Any changes to the artwork that are not within the quotation such as the addition of new colours, textures, designs or concepts will require an additional quote and sign-off for revisions.
